A GOOD CASED PAIR OF 54-BORE PERCUSSION TRAVELLING-PISTOLS, registration numbers D-C3612 & 3,
circa 1835, with octagonal 3in. barrels, the top-flats signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', engraved and platinum bands at breech, engraved nipple bosses with vented platinum plugs, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', sliding safes behind the hammers, walnut full-stocks with chequered bag-shaped butts, domed iron butt-caps with central traps, guarded triggers and captive iron ramrods, traces of colour and finish and complete with their makers walnut storage case lined and compartmented in aubergine velvet and complete with a Dixon flask, loading rod and scissors ball mould (case lid escutcheon absent)
